Zona West Conservation Easement

The Davie Land Trust monitors the Zona West Conservation Easement. The open space and a mixed-use path extends Davie's equestrian, bicycle, and pedestrian recreational trail system.

Homes and open space co-exist with conservation easement management by the Davie Land Trust.

Managing a conservation easement means regular inspecting and monitoring to ensure the terms of the easement remain in effect in perpetuity.

Open Spaces

The Zona West conservation easement consists of open space and a mixed-use trail on the west side of the development. Conservation easements provide a benefit to the Town of Davie by preserving rural and agricultural heritage, habitat, and recreational spaces. The Davie Area Land Trust holds and monitors the easement and generates a full report on status and condition.

Zona West

The pictures currently displayed were taken in September of 2024 as part of regular monitoring. Zona West construction is still in process and the homes and trail were not finished at the time of the inspection.

We are a membership organization supported solely by volunteers and donations. Our Board is unpaid and we have no employees. We seek to work with the Town of Davie and our members to preserve open space and habitat, and to help preserve Davie and Florida's rural heritage and character.
